Q: Do l have to try out for the team?

A: Yes.

Q: Do I have to be a Christian to join the team?

A: The mission of FCA is "to lead every coach and athlete into a growing relationship with Jesus Christ and His church." Everyone is at a different point in their journey. We ask that if you join our team your family understands that mission and is comfortable in that space. Everyone is welcome.

Q: Are uniforms included in the registration cost?

A: No. FCA has a partnership with BSN and they will set up a team store to order jerseys, spandex, sweatshirts, backpacks, etc.

Q: Is this a rec team?

A: No. This is a club team and will abide by club rules in regards to rotation, substitutions, positions, service, and playing time etc. We will work hard to have everyone play, but it will not always be equal.

Q: How is this similar/different to other VB clubs in the Upstate?

A: It is similar in terms of time commitment, quality of coaching, level of competition, and commitment to excellence. The key differences are that most tournaments will be regional and our emphasis on Christian faith.

Q: How many players are going to be on the team?

A: The goal is to have between 9-11 players will be placed on the roster.

Q: Can I join/tryout if I'm younger than the age bracket?

A: At the coaches’ discretion, players that fall below the age bracket may be invited onto an older team.

Q: How many matches will we play in each tournament?

A: Most tournaments will be Sat-Sun with approximately 4-8 matches depending on how the team advances.
